Seeking Knowledge in Times of Fitnah – Shaykh Bin Baaz

Fitnah will always occur, more so when one strives in the way of Allah.

In this advice to the student of knowledge, the noble Shaykh Bin Baaz (May Allah Have Mercy On Him) sets out guidelines on how one should behave when fitnah comes.

How should a person react to news, and statements.

How a person should deal with his fellow brothers and save himself falling into the fitnah, so much so that it could cause him to fall out from the deen.

The treatise is translated by our brother Abdulilah Lahmami (May Allah Preserve Him)

Islam is Built Upon Five

This lecture was delivered in Bradford via a live link with Shaykh Ali bin Ghaazi at-Tuwaijary, a teacher at the Islamic University of Madeenah and Masjid al Qiblatain.

The Shaykh explains the hadith of the Messenger of Allaah (sallallahi ahlayhi wassalam), "This Religion (Islam) is built upon five". The lecture was delivered in Arabic and translated in English by our brother Taqweem Aslam (English translation commences at 30m45s).

The Importance of Endeavour & Determination

Who Are the Saved Sect?

There is no doubt amongst the Muslims that the religion is complete and is no need of any additions nor deletions. Sadly, today there are many groups and parties that understand Islam differently to the Companions of Allaah's Messenger (Sallallaahi Ahlayhi Wassalam). Groups and parties, who have added that which doesn’t belong to it.

This talk which took place at the Salafi Centre of Manchester, highlights the perfection of the religion and the methodology of the Saved Sect, the people who are upon the Quran and Sunnah and upon the understanding of the Pious Predecessors - the Salafus Saalih.

Halloween: An Impermissible Celebration in Islam

Every year on the evening of October 31st, millions of children across the world paint their faces, dress up in costumes and go door to door collecting treats. The adults often decorate their houses with ghostly figures, carve scary faces on pumpkins and put candles in them to create "Jack-O-Lanterns."

Unfortunately, amongst the millions of people indulging in this custom, many are also Muslims. This talk will shed some light on the significance and origins of Halloween and why Muslims should not participate in it. (Text Source: Troid.org)
